StoreTrader is fast
When we designed StoreTrader we wanted to ensure it could handle the highest transaction volumes we could imagine, at the busiest supermarket.
The till interface dynamically changes to offer the appropriate options for each transaction type; it predicts the amount tendered in a cash sale to save keying; it doesn’t mind the sequence of keys the operator uses, or when the customer presents a coupon.
All the important trading data is replicated at the till and communications across the store network are asynchronous, so that a till is never waiting for the store server.
If equipment fails, or a communications link is broken, the system continues and re-integrates the failing device when it is replaced or repaired without any operator intervention so that trading is never interrupted.
There are no artificial limits on file sizes or transaction volumes. StoreTrader just keeps running.
